Andernos-les-Bains is a town of over 12,000 inhabitants that is lively year-round, with a cinema, an indoor public swimming pool, a skate park, a multi-sports court, several children's playgrounds, a climbing gym, a laser tag arena… You can stroll along the pedestrian street to shop, eat an ice cream or a crepe, walk on the pier (the longest in France offering a unique panorama of the Bay, the stilted huts, Bird Island…) or eat oysters at one of the many tasting venues in the port. The Quinconces natural site and also the Liquida area to discover the fauna and flora of the Arcachon Bay and walk to Arès. Not forgetting the Domaine de Certes (Audenge), the reserve The Teich bird sanctuary, Aqualand water park (Gujan Mestas), the Coccinelle amusement park, and Kid Parc (Gujan Mestas). On the Atlantic Ocean side, Grand Crohot Beach is the closest ocean beach to Andernos (about 20 minutes by car), but you'll find a multitude of beaches, some more crowded than others, some more accessible than others, along the miles of coastline that the Atlantic Ocean offers.
