Buxton’s town centre has a variety of restaurants serving different cuisines, independent shops and cafés plus it is home to Buxton’s Opera House with shows on weekly, and the Pavillion Gardens which is lovely to walk around in the afternoon. Further afield you can visit Castleton and check out the caverns by boat, explore other towns such as Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock, visit Chatsworth House and soak in some history or take a stroll on the nearest well known route, the High Peak trail which has pubs and ice cream stops en route.
