Booked Blackpool first and after trauma in Blackpool hotel, Hargate hall saved my holiday mood!

Property itself was just WOW ! We arrived late at night with a baby and lady literally came down to help us with accommodation. Room was clean and very fancy!

Lovely property but kept up with minimal effort. Should make it more welcoming to guests.

Rooms were clean

Large property could have done more to welcome guests. Clean and make the full garden useable to guest. Put towels in the room and not ask guest to remove bedding and put in laundry baskets...etc. Not providing a freezer to the room and not charge for electricity use. Dirty BBQ area and house gardens.

Stunning building in a peaceful location.

Beautiful building and an ideal location for walking groups. It seems there's plenty of provision for those who wish to spend a few days there exploring, with plenty of info and maps. The young woman (the daughter, I think,) who informed us we'd been given the incorrect room was absolutely lovely and very on top of everything. I was able to book last minute quite easily. Although the decor is somewhat dated in the apartments themselves, it was definitely functional and exceptionally clean. The cleaning team should be praised for the high standard of cleanliness, even in areas that are often missed. The whole place is family run and they're obviously very friendly people, had a lovely chat with the son when we were enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace, who asked us if it was OK to bring his dog out, which I considered very thoughtful.

I wouldn't describe the interior as luxury for the price, perhaps "authentic" would be a better word.

Breathtaking location and property. Incredible atmosphere in this traditional and spacious residence. Fully equipped kitchen. All was clean and very comfy. Felt like a dream and exceeded our expectations.

Fabulous location in the heart of Peak District, rather grand building and comfy 1-bed apartment. Kitchen was well equipped and the possibility to eat outside in the grounds was a bonus.

kitchen was a bit uncomfortable as it was a long narrow hallway converted into a kitchen & we had trouble passing one another BUT it was not too bad. The staff was very friendly & kind.

The whole house is clean and an ideal place for a large family get together. The rooms are unique, beds are very very comfy. Self catering facilities are excellent. We have had 3 different rooms in the property and haven’t been disappointed once.
