Golden King Residence

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Stunning view from the balcony. The room was spotless, Spacious and comfortable. Shan was exceptional. Breakfast and dinner was great. We would recommend a stay here. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The place had a great view on Kandy and the stuff was really courteous. We had everything we needed and the breakfast was a typical mix from local and foreign food. The room was big and comfy. The main city was nearby and we could walk there in 15 min but as the place is located on one of the surrounding hills the way up was less comfortable and we preferred a Tuktuk.

Wspaniałe kameralne miejsce! Czysto, ciepła woda, sprawne Wi-Fi i pyszne śniadania. Gospodarz bardzo sympatyczny, przywitał nas herbatą. Widok z tarasu jest prześliczny. Lokalizacja nieco oddalona od centrum, ale bez problemu do pokonania spacerem. Bardzo polecam i chętnie tu wrócę!

What I thought I had booked was a room in a guest house what I received was a room directly outside of a families living and kitchen space. At check in was charged an extra $8usd for taxes they said but this is first hotel in Sri Lanka to do so. Location is far from many attractions on top of a very large very steep hill. 8-10min drive or 20 min walk to get down. Path has many monkeys and wild dogs we felt very unsafe walking here. Room was not very quiet due to location in house with a family and small kids cooking and hanging out directly outside. Wifi was incredibly slow to non existent we had to use data for most of stay. Hot water random and sometimes would work but often not.
