We were a group of 6 making our way around Sri Lanka. We were in Kandy for 3 nights to explore and enjoy. Lakewood Residence was a quick downhill walk to Kandy Lake and the townsite (a little longer walk on the return as the hill is a little steep!). The view from the rooms and the restaurant were spectacular and the staff were great...especially Gayan in the restaurant! The rooms had everything you needed including great water pressure and heat in the shower. We enjoyed our stay and were treated well.

A great location overlooking the lake. Steps down to Kandy a few minutes away. Hotel a bit jaded but comfortable with very attentive staff. Nice breakfast each morning and they will cook dinner for you if you arrive late.
Laundry service too. Balcony is irrelevant because of the monkeys so you can’t really avail of it.

Need more facilities in hotel. There is very few options in breakfast. The location and view in lake side rooms are superb. The staffs are helpful.
