THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES
THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF OUR LIVES The property is run-down and dilapidated, and everything is falling apart, including the entrance stairway. The security deposit was taken days before our arrival without any prior notice and amounted to £150 instead of the £100 stated on Booking. The entrance door is seriously faulty (the code must be entered several times before it opens) and, in fact, we were locked out upon arrival. The apartment assigned to us was completely different from the one we booked. It was supposed to be 35 square meters, but instead it was a tiny, unlivable studio. Shameful hygiene conditions and a strong smell of dirty laundry everywhere, including the stairwell. To get from the room to the main entrance we had to hold our noses. On the stairs there were piles of other guests’ dirty clothes thrown on the floor, which we had to step around to avoid trampling. Pubic hair on the bed, which is extremely unhygienic and potentially dangerous for health. The apartment was freezing cold and damp because wind comes through the window frames, as if the window were open even when it is closed. There is no washing machine in the building, contrary to what is listed among the facilities and described in the room details on Booking. We chose this apartment specifically because of the washing machine. The very small bathroom sink was unusable because it was completely clogged and the water would not drain. Almost every day we were woken up by shouting and loud noises from the cleaning staff, who were banging equipment and even hitting (perhaps unintentionally) our door. What makes this situation even more serious is that both Booking and the property managers completely ignored these very serious issues, both during and after our stay, despite the extensive photographic documentation we provided as evidence of what happened.

Great location and view from a tiny room
The location
The room was very small, not really an apartment. The kitchenette was so close to the bed you could reach it! The hallways up to the room were very dirty and smelly. Damp mouldy smell

Poor stuff and non functioning items in the room like WiFi heater, hob , safe abd electric switches.
Nothing e certain location. WiFi was not working. The heater was not working. The electric switches were out of order. Electric Hob was not working. The safe was out of order. It took 3 days for the apartment management to respond. I lost 660 British pounds as house keeping staff entered in the room In my absence . Most probably he or she stool money from my cabin suitcase as everything in room was open due to out of order safe
Things were nit functional; heater , electric switches and hob, safe abd even WiFi. The tiweks provided were used The house keep staff did not bother to change the towels and bed sheets during the whole week.

Really nice little place near to city centre
It was in a good location quite close to the city centre. It was easy to find food etc close by. The room was fairly small but adequate. The tea and coffee supplied were really nice. It was easy to find the property with good instructions. There was also good information in the property about things to do, places to eat etc. The bed was comfortable.
The bathroom light comes on automatically with the extract fan when you enter the bathroom. The fan noise is quite loud in the main room therefore if you need the loo in the night, you risk waking up the other person with the noise of the fan. It was a bit noisy at times with police cars. We had trouble finding stations to watch on the TV (could just have been our incompetence!)

Bristol Colston Street
The location is fantastic, very central. The Smeg toaster and kettle. Nice touch. The little bag of sweets is a nice intention. A very comfortable bed.
There is no double glazing. If your apartment gives onto the street, the noise of traffic will wake you up very early in the morning which is what happened every morning of our 4 nights stay. The radiator in our room was strangely located as we had to literally move the wardrobe to be able to turn it on. It's a pity to have a full kitchen but not be able to cook as there was only one saucepan and one frying pan which were too small for 2 people. As a result, we only used the microwave for dinner. Finally, attention needs to be given to the entrance hallway and stairs as there were dirty for the whole duration of our stay. The walls need cleaning (scuff marks) and repainting. Once again, it's a pity because the place could be absolutely fantastic.

Great for what we needed.
Really comfy beds. On the small side but perfectly equipped for what we needed and great that it had a kitchenette. It's just opposite from Children's Hospital which was why we booked. Staff managing property were really helpful. It was perfect for what we needed. Price on the weekday was reasonable for Bristol.
We stayed in 2 different rooms in the end as we had to extend our stay, both were nice but second was at the front of property. There was quite a lot of noisy sirens due to its proximity to the hospital but that is to be expected. The hallway leading to rooms is quite scruffy but the rooms themselves were much nicer. Sheets on the bed could have been bigger as they did not stay tucked into the mattress (had to redo a few times)
