Luxueux Appartement à Notre-Dame

A unique Parisien apartment complete with creaking and undulating floors and no air conditioning! It was so hot when we stayed (unusually so for June) and we found the apartment stifling even with the curtains closed and pedestal fan on. Modern bathroom and kitchen with all appliances and a super comfy bed (albeit in a very cosy bedroom). A top sheet would have been wonderful given how hot it was. We took the doona out and used the cover as a top sheet. Check-in was a bit challenging as the Whatsapp message we received sent us to #3 Rue Gît-le-Cœur, but our reservation was for #12 Rue Gît-le-Cœur. Make sure you take a careful note of the address of where to pick your key up as its not near the apartment (a very easy 6 min walk). We booked the first floor apartment hoping for a breeze and not too many stairs, but what we didnt realise is our windows opened directly to the 'courtyard'. We weren't comfortable leaving the windows open unless we were inside and awake as it was easy access to the apartment through them. People walking from the entry building to our building can see straight in unless you pull the curtains across. A great location for exploring Paris on foot or by PT. Metro and RER are super close. Siene is seconds away! And a fab supermarket a couple of minutes walk away. Fabulous prompt communication from the team who manage this apartment. They were absolutely wonderful. 💯

An ironing board to go with the iron would have been helpful! 😔

The property is well located. There were two of us and one slept in the bedroom and another slept in the pullout couch. That was very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would need. Bathroom was large and everything functioned well.

The process of getting the key was challenging. At first, we were sent to a deli that was seven minutes away, they did not have the key so we had to walk back and find the key a different way. Luckily, we had stored our luggage somewhere otherwise you would’ve been dragging bags around the neighborhood for over 30 minutes trying to get the key.

Brilliant location with lots of character. Clean, ,good shower, plenty of room. Quirky and so close to everywhere we wanted to go. So close to the metro. Be aware you can hear the cinema but it finished between 22 and 2300 hours and then silence, foir a brilliant night's sleep.

I'll mention these as it appears a reoccurring issue, firstly the code given for the keys was only 6 numbers long when it needed to be 8 digits. Trying to communicate with whoever was at the end of the phone was stressful , making it not a good start to our stay. Secondly the floor in the kitchen area needs repairing.. others have mentioned this and its still not been done and thirdly the WiFi code had changed and not been updated. All minor but distracted from a place that otherwise is great

The location of this property was amazing. In the heart of Paris and an easy walk to many of the major attractions. The metro was a two-minute walk as well as to multiple restaurants. Additionally, being so close to Notre-Dame, I was expecting this to be loud but that was not the case. There was some noise from the cinema downstairs but by 20:00, everything was done and quiet.

When we arrived, we were anticipating going to collect the keys at a store location, but when we got there, the man said the keys weren't there. I did not check my messages when I landed so I didn't receive the updated message that we could pick up the keys from a lock box. We then had some issues finding the right lock box but that was entirely my fault. After 20 hours of travel, we weren't as awake as we should have been. We called the number and the host answered right away. He was incredibly patient and kind as he walked us through the process.
