We absolutely loved our stay at Parteen-a-Lax. If you have any interest in history or appreciate historical architecture, this is a fabulous place to stay. It genuinely felt like stepping back in time and getting the chance to experience what it would have been like to live in a manor. The property has so much character and charm, and the renovated bathrooms were modern, clean and worked perfectly. Mark was also an excellent host — very welcoming, helpful and always happy to assist.
There really wasn’t much we didn’t like about our stay! We stayed here as one big group and we enjoyed our time.

It's an absolute wonderland. The amazing historical structures, the river access, the donks, and Barbie were all the highlights.

Our family of 15 and of varying ages had a lovely time here. The house and grounds were unique and amazing. There was a lot to explore, including an abandoned church with creepy mannequins! It was great to be able to have everyone together. Mark was the best host ever! He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. His family has owned the property for many generations, and he is very knowledgeable and interesting.
The house is historic, so if you are expecting completely modern and perfect amenities you may be disappointed. It is very comfortable and charming despite its age.

Utterly fabulous two days. Mark was a true gent, helping us with everything from start to finish. The property is stunning; the gardens fresh and well looked after. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The asado-style BBQ was real highlight. Five stars in every sense. Thank you so much!
