We rented the house for 2 nights for a family birthday. The house exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful house with great character and history behind it. Freida the owner was so generous to have left baked treats for our stay to enjoy! The gardens around the property are amazing and have lovely walks to them! The tennis court was great. There were rackets and tennis balls in the house for use. Everything about the stay was just 10/10.
It was a little tricky to find the property. The eircode sent us to the second entrance of the house which is closed off.

Mount Trenchard is a very cool property. The home is so interesting with amazing history and character.
The people managing the property couldn't be nicer. The house mechanicals could use some fine tuning as we lacked heat and water for a bit, but that was corrected within a day or so.

We recently stayed at this property for a family gathering with 26 people, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The rooms are impressively spacious, providing plenty of comfort and room for everyone to relax and enjoy their time together.
The location is peaceful and serene, tucked away in a quiet area that’s perfect for unwinding. It offered just the right atmosphere for quality family time, away from the hustle and bustle.

The property is peaceful and spacious, but some areas—like the basement kitchen and bathrooms—could use updates. A dishwasher and functioning bathroom locks would greatly improve convenience.
With these enhancements, the stay could be much more comfortable.
