Lake Quarter Apartment

We liked the facilities e.g. washing machine and tumbler dryer. Enjoyed the balcony. Separate bathrooms for the bedrooms and downstairs facilities were good. Good wardrobe area/facilities to main bedroom. Close safe parking. The manager we very help full to us to collect a item left at the apartment.

Very soft and uncomfortable pillows. We missed a luggage rack and some kitchen equipment such as a grater and a kitchen wipe. Recommend some basic elements such as coffee and milk.

Carparking was terrible

The apartment was modern and reasonably clean. It was in a convenient location for the sports tournament that we were attending. There were plenty of food options within walking distance of the apartment.

We had booked for 5 people (2 adults, 3 children ages 11years, 13 years and 16 years). The advertisement indicated there would be a queen bed, 2 single beds and a futon bed. We arrived late at night to discover that there was a very small, low fold up "kiddie size" couch placed in the bedroom with the queen bed. This was not made up, and there were no sheets or blankets to be found anywhere in the apartment. This made for a very inconvenient night trying to fit 5 people in to 4 bed spaces. The apartment management dropped off some bedding the next day for us to make the bed up, however in all honesty this bed is not really suitable for sleeping in for multiple nights due to size and lack of comfort, and definitely would not suit an adult sized person. Parking is made extremely difficult due to other apartment occupants parking in places not marked for carparking. The only reason our larger vehicle was able to use the allocated park was because the next door apartment did not have a vehicle parked in their parking space so we could use this area to manoeuvre our vehicle around the other cars. Upstairs bedrooms were ridiculously hot the night we arrived. Fans are provided, but did little to alleviate the heat. Opening bedroom windows overnight was not an option due to street noise. We solved this issue the following nights by leaving upstairs windows open during the day and closing at night time. Cockroaches appear to be a problem in this location as we must have killed a dozen or more in the first night we stayed there...which creeped our kids out a lot. The shower over the bath in the main ensuite seriously needs some attention given to the drain. The bath fills up with water whilst you shower and takes anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes to drain following the shower being turned off.
