City Center Comfort l 1-Bedroom Stay in Brighton

The property was very clean and tidy and was a very good size for 3 of us. Good sized kitchen area which looked well equipped (we didn’t use any of the cooking facilities/utensils so can’t say for sure) but there was an oven, hob, fridge, kettle and toaster. Leading off from the kitchen was a good sized balcony, however it was unusable due to the amount of pigeons above and the risk of getting pooed on. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was all clean. Good powerful shower which was always warm. The only downside to this property was the number of pigeons outside. They didn’t stop cooing and flapping around from about 3am in the morning, we had to shut the windows but could still hear them. This then led to the property being really hot (we were staying during the recent heatwave). A fan was provided in the property but it was quite loud. Overall, it’s a nice property though and the location was very good. It was about 15 minutes walk from the train station and about 15-20 from the beach. I would definitely stay here again but would bring ear plugs for the pigeons! We also got woken up by groups coming home in the early hours but I would expect that to be the same throughout Brighton.

One issue we did have was when you reach the second floor you go through a door which then leads to the 2 flats. The flat next to us locked this door obviously not knowing that we didn’t have a key and we had to bang on the door for ages around midnight to wake them up to let us in. Maybe a sign should be put on the door saying not to lock it as you lock yourself in your flat anyway. The pigeons were annoying too but there is nothing that can be done about them and I wouldn’t want any harm to come to them.

Great location and really nice property.

The amount of birds out on the balcony. They would also wake you up at 5am. Needs a bird repellant to get rid of them.
