Desert Moments Camp

Es war einfach traumhaft. Ein Ort zum Entspannen, hier kann man wirklich die Wüste genießen und kennenlernen. Die Lage ist fantastisch direkt auf der Düne, man blickt nur in die Natur und sieht keine anderen Camps. Man hat hier absolute Ruhe. Das Essen ist so fantastisch und Salah ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und empfehlen mindestens 2 Nächte zu bleiben.

Es war alles perfekt. Man muss aber wissen, dass es im Camp keinen elektronischen Strom gibt, was für uns allerdings kein Problem darstellte. Die Smartphones am Besten vorher voll aufladen.

This was more than just a hotel room. The stay at Salah's camp was really awesome. The location in the middle of nowhere, on the top of a dune, makes this experience magical. Great staff and almost a family atmosphere. The food was delicious, and so was the tea (always available with dates). Possible to arrange camel rides, which I definitely recommend. We got precise instructions, and Salah guided us personally when driving through the desert, which was very welcome. It's not the cheapest camp there, but really worth visiting.

This is not just a desert camp, it’s an experience that feels almost cinematic. From the moment you arrive you understand you’re somewhere special. Endless dunes, total silence, and light that changes every hour, from deep gold to soft blue to a sky exploding with stars. The owner Salah is incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely fun to be around. One of those people who instantly sets the tone relaxed, authentic, and full of positive energy. You don’t feel like a guest, you feel included. The camp itself is beautifully done. Simple, yes but intentional. The huts, the fabrics, the lanterns, everything feels curated without losing that raw desert charm. It’s not luxury in the traditional sense, but it’s something much more interesting: atmosphere. And then, the food. Honestly, unexpected. Fresh, flavorful, generous and cooked with care. Sitting in the middle of the desert, under soft lights, eating incredibly good food while someone grills in the background… it’s one of those moments where you stop and think: this is exactly why I travel. Especial note: my girlfriend is pescatarian, in all Oman they just give her vegetable options. Here in the middle of the desert: Tuna! She was so happy Sunset and sunrise here are unreal. Watching the sun drop behind the dunes, or rise in complete silence with nothing around you… it resets something inside. There’s also a sense of freedom: climbing dunes, jumping into the sand, driving through the desert, doing nothing at all — everything feels right. If you’re looking for polished, predictable comfort, this might not be your place. But if you want something real, immersive, and full of character — with great food and even better people — this is a place you’ll remember

Ein großartiges Wüstencamp von Salah. Weit in der Wüste und als einiges der wenigen hoch auf den Dünen. Nur sechs Zelte. Als wir da waren, waren außer uns beiden nur ein weiterer Gast vor Ort, was für uns großartig war. Unsere Zeit in der Wüste war magisch!
