The Linhay was a fabulous base for our short break.

Joy, our host, had obviously worked extremely hard to make the cottage so welcoming and comfortable. When we opened the front door on 29th Dec, we were met by the lovely glow of Christmas lights, throughout the ground floor! Everything we could possibly want / need for our stay had been provided. It was a great base for visiting Minehead and other centres such as Dunster, Lynton and Lynmouth.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Cosy stay in a lovely cottage, a short distance from the centre of Minehead

I was delighted with my stay at The Linhay. It is a beautiful and comfortable cottage with great views over trees at the back and the coast from the road at the front. The cottage was cosy and well equipped with everything I needed. It is also near to town with just a short walk downhill into Minehead for good shops and restaurants. Joy was an excellent host and communicated really well in advance of my stay so that I had all the information I needed.

The bathroom is downstairs but this is to be expected in an older building.

Cosy cottage - perfect holiday home away from home!

Gorgeous property - cosy and comfy and really beautifully styled. It’s so easy for an old cottage to be cold but this was so cosy and inviting. All the utensils and other bits and bobs we needed for our stay were included. Thanks so much for the milk and biscuits, much appreciated after our journey! Short walk from the seafront and shops and restaurants, parking was very close by. Would recommend and stay again!

A little gem with a wonderful host.

This is the perfect cottage for a stay in the area. The host has fully equipped this little gem which is well located for local amenities and walks along the coast.

Perfect Cottage - Perfect Host - can not fault a thing!

Just about everything! The cottage had stunning views, very quiet and very well equipped. The host Joy was amazing, nothing was too much for her. She even arranged for a fan to be delivered to us because the weather was so hot despite being away on a break herself - it was very much appreciated. The cottage catered for all our needs and more ( even down to a toolbox so we could assemble the fan!)- it was a fantastic place to spend a 3 day break. The beds were super comfy and so clean - overall such a wonderful place that we want to come back again soon!

A lovely cosy little cottage with all the comforts you need, overlooking Minehead and meadows. Nice location .

It was smaller than I originally thought and the bathroom was downstairs which made for a bit of a sleepy journey at night. Poor water pressure in the shower.

We liked everything about the cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipt and comfortable. Joy was really good at knowing what guests would like and it showed. We loved it.

Fabulous cottage, highly recommended

The cottage was like home from home. It had everything required for a stay plus so many extras, that you would not necessarily expect in a holiday let. All furnishings were of a high quality. The beds were comfortable and bedding was again good quality. The kitchen was well equipped with a dish washer and washing machine . We were lucky with the weather so was able to sit outside and enjoy the garden and the fantastic view. The position of the cottage was great a quiet and pretty part of Minehead. It was a good position to visit other beauty spots. We would highly recommend and love to stay again. The owner Joy left a welcome note and her number if it was needed.

Weekend Getaway

Beautiful cottage in wonderful surroundings. Great views and located in a very quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. The cottage itself was like a home away from home, practically everything you would need is ready and available. Great communication from the host. Highly recommended. Will definitely return if I'm in the area again.

Wonderful cottage and host, all perfect.

Everything was perfect, from the communication with Joy ahead of arrival until checkout. The property is wonderful, newly refurbished to a very high standard with everything needed and more for the stay. Key collection and entering the property was perfectly straightforward. A very nice view from the main bedroom over Minehead and Exmoor. A good selection of tea, coffee and biscuits for our arrival. I enjoyed the fireplace, which gave a great cottage experience. However, the cottage was otherwise very well heated and comfortable. Will definitely return on my next Minehead stay.

Wie zu Gast bei Freunden

Die Anreise war dank der klaren Anweisungen entspannt. Hilfreich war auch die Info, dass die Wohnung schon vor der offiziellen Checkin-Zeit zugänglich war. Joy hat uns als Empfang Kekse und im Kühlschrank Milch für den Tee bereitgestellt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet, auch mit einigen Gewürzen. Das Handbuch macht dem Besucher das Leben einfach (Mülltrennung, Kamin, ...). Für die nette Terrasse mit Aussicht war es uns leider schon etwas kalt. Die Wohnung ist liebenvoll eingerichtet. Alles super, gerne wieder.
