Cozy Stay Sapporo Central

The location was fantastic. AMS Tower is very well situated, with lots of great restaurants, shops and other amenities nearby. Parking was a little difficult to find at times, especially at first, but after a few days we worked out a few nearby locations where spaces were usually available. The host was very responsive, helpful and easy to communicate with. We also really appreciated the clear instructions that were emailed to us in English, which made everything much easier on arrival. The apartment had a lovely retro Japanese feel and plenty of character. It was also very well equipped with everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen was clean and well maintained, and the bed linen and towels were fresh and clean. Overall, there was a lot we enjoyed about the apartment and the location was a real highlight.

The property would benefit from some updating and maintenance. In places the wallpaper was peeling off, and there was a constant faint smell of cigarette smoke in the apartment. We did get used to it after a while, but as non-smokers this was disappointing, particularly considering the price of the stay. Had we known in advance that smoking was permitted in the apartment, we would probably have chosen a different property. The bathroom was also quite outdated and there appeared to be some black mould in places. More concerningly, when the bath jets were switched on, black residue and grime came out of them, so we did not feel comfortable using this feature. We enjoyed many aspects of our stay, particularly the location and the helpful host, but we do feel these issues should be addressed, especially the lingering cigarette smell and the cleanliness and maintenance of the bathroom.

It was great, comfortable and provide everything we needed. It’s also very central for tourists spots.

Nothing that the property could change. The ceiling could be higher for tall people. 😃
