We had a very enjoyable stay overall. It was a nice, traditional house in a quiet spot. Beautiful surroundings with stunning river. The futons were comfortable, and the property manager was exceptionally kind and helpful. When one of the air conditioners stopped working, our first day was unfortunately very hot, but he responded immediately, did everything he could to fix the problem, and even drove with us to the house. We really appreciated his excellent service and hospitality.

The Booking listing was a bit confusing and didn’t fully match our expectations. Some parts of the house matched the photos, but there were also pictures of rooms that we didn’t have access to, and the number of bedrooms didn’t match what we had. The photos also gave us the impression that the house had a terrace overlooking the river and was located right by the water, while the river was actually several minutes away by car via a steep road. We’re still not sure whether the listing combines multiple properties or different parts of the same property, but we think the description and photos could be clearer.

It's remote and quiet which is nice, you feel what it would feel like to live in an older Japanese home:

Loot of space.

The house was very cold only two rooms had some heating. In the kitchen the temp was 9C. Also the house is very remote and not in the camp as I expected. The arrival was a bit confusing - the host seemed not to know of my arrival.
