The apartment is convenient for everything in Santa Margherita and is very spacious and comfortable. The host did respond to the problems I encountered, if sometimes a little slowly. The washing machine was not working when I arrived for my three-week stay, but was replaced within a few days by a very good new one. Excellent. The problems with the newly-installed air-conditioners took a little longer and caused me some anxiety while I was there. I am sure (hope?) they have now been resolved.

The response through Booking.com about gaining access to the apartment was slow. The listing, when I booked, said there was a lockbox for the key. Despite a couple of messages asking about this, it was only by a phone call on the morning of my arrival that I found out that someone would meet me at the apartment to give me the keys. (No response to my message on the day before departure about what to do with the keys on leaving. I left them in the hall and the apartment door unlocked!) There were other discrepancies between the listing on Booking.com and the reality: 'Sea View': only if you lean precariously out of the window and look down the street towards the harbor, which is only 100 yards away. 'Landmark View' : no. Coffee/tea maker: a couple of ancient Moka coffee makers, on a shelf in the kitchen cupboard too high to reach without a ladder 'Hairdryer': Couldn't find one 'Flat Screen tv': television, yes, flat screen, no. Not that I was bothered. I have pointed these out to the host and hope that they will be amended on their listing. The kitchen, bathroom and bedding were clean, but when I arrived it was apparent that the flat had not had a thorough clean for some time. There was dust on the coffee table and bedroom side tables, even in the cutlery drawers. When I swept the floor and lifted the fringe on the edge of the rug to sweep under that, it was clear that someone had previously swept a lot of dust under the carpet.

L’appartamento, molto comodo, si trova in posizione strategica, a breve distanza sia dal mare (2 minuti) che dal centro città. La sua ubicazione risulta ideale per coloro che desiderano visitare il centro e godere delle spiagge, essendo inoltre ben servito da negozi e servizi. Il proprietario si è dimostrato estremamente disponibile e cortese. Qualora dovessi tornare, molto probabilmente sceglierò nuovamente questa struttura.
