Nel Cuore di Santa

- Fantastic location, right in the middle of Santa Margherita and 3 minutes away from the beach - Despite the many parties and clubs in Santa Margherita, this flat is very quiet as it's tucked away in a back alley and protected from all noise and music - There is a private outdoor sitting area, perfect for a quiet breakfast - The flat was very clean and tidy - Great communication with the host, she did her best to sort out any problems we had - We arrived 2 hours after check-in closed and the host still met us to give us the keys, even though it was already late (for a 40 euro charge) - There are mosquito nets in almost all windows and in the front door (that one is hidden, we only discovered it on our very last day 😀) - Two air conditioning units (bedroom + living room) - The flat is equipped with plenty of dishes and cutlery

- The WiFi is basically not functional. The router is a TP-Link 4G LTE mobile hotspot rather than a fixed broadband connection. Speeds were very low (1 Mbps) and the connection was cut out entirely for approximately 5 minutes every minute during use, making it absolutely unusable for any sustained activity. I work in IT, so I tried everything I could. I managed to log into the admin interface, did a firmware update and disabled auto shutdown. Nothing helped. The host kindly took the device to Vodafone on my request, but wasn't able to fix it. She believes that this is due to the thick walls of the apartment, but my own 4G mobile connection worked just fine inside. So I believe that this is either a hardware malfunction or network provider throttling. We actually enjoyed a digital detox during our stay, but if WiFi is essential for you and you can't use your own data, this is probably not the right place at the moment. - The bed was very hard and squeaky - it's not really a bed, but an extensible sofa and I could feel the whole sofa move when my partner turned - The fridge (in the living room) was relatively loud - This is not a fault of the flat itself, but swimming was prohibited on the main beach in Santa Margherita (Ghiaia Beach, 3 minutes away) in June 2026 due to water contamination. So we had to walk south along a busy road for about 20 minutes to get to the next beach if we wanted to swim. I would recommend you to research online whether the beach has been reopened if that's important to you.

Il wi-fi non funzionava e anche l’aria condizionata andava ma non rinfrescava.
