Charming country house swimming pool 17 min from Bordeaux

The most amazing property. The owners clearly have excellent taste - the styling was so beautiful, the landscaping and entertaining spaces were perfect, everything we needed was there. The rooms all had AC which was great for a 40degree day + the beds and linens were so comfortable. We were greeted at the property by lovely Christine and shown how to use everything. We would stay here forever if we could!! We booked a wine tasting at stunning Chateau De Malherbes which was just a 20 minute walk away

The only thing is that there aren’t really any shops nearby, which we knew ahead of time and prepared by ordering food on Deliveroo. It was hard to get a uber/bolt but the host sent us a taxi number and she arrived within minutes which was perfect

Spacious rooms, sociable open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with large windows, pool & comfortable loungers, bathrooms great with powerful showers and loved the unique decor. Welcome bottle was appreciated along with the flexibility to check in early. Christine was very friendly and welcoming on our arrival.

A few minor things which would be simple to fix: Bulbs missing in the kitchen/lounge area with slightly intermittent electric lamp, blunt kitchen knives, patio door was broken so could not lock it. Could do with some local information leaflets for boulangerie and local shops in Latresne and instructions for the TV as were unable to use it. We are mobile, but the stairs are steep (without a banister) and with a high top step. Adding a banister would help.
