Countryside Family Home

Marie was a wonderful host! The home was quiet, peaceful, and the perfect spot to get a great night’s rest.The one room was also spacious enough for our family of 4.

You must keep in mind that there may be other guests or residents staying in the home, so you’ll want to be mindful and respectful of shared spaces, but overall it was a lovely and restful stay.

Cela n’était pas une surprise puisque clairement indiqué lors de la réservation, mais l’unique salle d’eau (avec un WC) partagée avec toutes les chambres peut être un peu contraignante en cas de forte affluence.

Marie was a lovely host and so accommodating. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Stephen was so helpful and even went out of his way to drop us to the drop off point for a concert at Slane castle.

•Clean room with that unmistakable ‘budget B&B from a simpler time’ vibe • Marie the host communicated well but clearly believes in an early to bed routine (lights out at 10pm even on a Saturday night!) • Earplugs thoughtfully provided to drown out the nearby traffic concert. • Great for one night stays if you are not too fussy and just need a place to sleep (or try to).

• One toilet and shower shared between 7 guests - feels like a school trip flashback. • No mirror in the room - personal grooming becomes a bit of a guessing game. • Wardrobe was already occupied… by the owners clothes - very authentic ‘spare room at grandma’s’ feel • No sign outside to indicate that this is a guesthouse so you may feel like you are knocking on a strangers door asking if you may stay the night . Definitely not for night owls - arrive late and you’ll feel like you have missed curfew at boarding school
