The Strawberry Bank

hi! I have stayed at the Strawberry Bank Hotel for 5 nights, and despite the sun being a deadly laser this weekend they were extremely comfortable and one of the most wonderful places I have stayed in awhile. The staff are extremely friendly. Because I was going to an event which had me wearing a lot of costumes, the cleaner saw this and got chatting to me about them. I’m two occasions the stuff bent over backwards to make sure that I got breakfast despite me getting to the restaurant late. I wish I’d got everybody’s names that I’ve spoken to so that I could personally shout out each and every one of them, the only bane I caught was Megan who helped me get something to eat on my first morning at breakfast. There hasn’t been a single frown in this hotel and that makes a hell of a difference. My room was comfortable. It’s a very short and easy drive from the NEC if you’re there for an event or something. Does tea and coffee which is replenished daily in the rooms, a TV, and excellent showering facilities which I’m sure you’ll agree makes a stay 10 times better. The room was clean daily as well, although you can request for it not be if that is your preference with a simple hanger on the door. Check-in was easy and I’m just about to check out. The Surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. My room looked out onto some fields where there was some sheep which was quite a comforting noise, no traffic. No distractions. A wonderful long weekend away.

Decor in hotel and our room was a little dated. Scuffed and chipped paint in places. Otherwise clean. Quiet night’s sleep although mattress needs replacing as springs are have compressed a lost some of their resistance. Lovely grounds and beer garden.

Tidy room. Good choice of evening meal and breakfast. Very good

Greatvroom loved the wallpaper bit shabby in parts, cracked plaster around windows, marks on wall , very dusty stool , lovely comfy bed , lovely towels . Great value for money
