The location is right in the middle of the island and is quite a good homebase for exploring on motorbike.
The owner is really nice chap, speaks perfect english and super responsive.
Could have used a memo at the beginning, that cleaning has to be requested.
Sensitive sleepers beware,
you can clearly hear motorbikes passing by.
During the day from 8-22 the nearby supermarket plays music nonstop. one time I woke up because at 8:00 they put it at high volume, but usually its not overly loud, could nap on one occasion, but I am not overly sensitive.
One weekday evening, tuesday or wednesday, some bar nearby does a live music party, that was loud till midnight I think.
Bathroom is basic, small corner sink is kind of ok, but really missed a mirror in the bathroom.
AC struggles a bit during midday sun.
Had to shoo out big cockroaches on several occasions.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Man kann in 5 min an den Strand laufen. Es gibt eine kleine Küchenzeile mit Wasserkocher und Toaster. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist für Ko Lanta gut und die Insel ist wunderschön und man kann toll schnorcheln gehen.
Die Matratze war so durchgelegen, dass man in die Mitte des Bettes gerollt ist. Wie die meisten Unterkünfte an Ferienorten sehr zweckmäßig und billig eingerichtet. Spaltmaße an der Tür sind so groß, dass Insekten herein krabbeln können.

Clean and comfortable - A/C and fan, desk, clothes rack, huge bathroom, and a mini kitchen with sink, kettle, cutlery, knives and cutting board for fruit. Great hosts and attached cafe with proper English breakfast. Perfect for remote work.

We spent 6 nights at Near and Far and we enjoyed our stay there very much. Paul and Sarah are excellent hosts, friendly and extremely helpful, always checking that everything is ok and they helped us out with exchanging some currency as well as renting us a scooter for the usual 250 baht per day. The rooms are simply furnished but very clean and comfortable with a firm but comfy bed, effective and controllable AC, drawers and hanging space for clothes, a kitchenette with a kettle, toaster, fridge freezer and a good selection of utensils and crockery. We also had a large container of drinking water provided. The bathroom was spacious and had a great hot shower. In front of the rooms is the Near and Far Cafe which serves excellent, mainly British style food and the breakfasts are amazing, easily the best we've had outside the UK and better than many we've had in the UK. A special mention to Willow, the resident Frenchie, who is very sweet and often on the lookout for dropped morsels of food.
