The property was in the perfect location for the purpose of our trip only a short 10 min drive to barafundle bay as I’ve wanted to visit this beach for 30+ years and never got around to it and now finally I got to share the experience with my daughter and 20 min drive to Tenby

Nothing really it was absolutely perfect for the 2 of us

Compact cottage but tastefully updated with coracle feature. Handy location, though initially I couldn't find it with the satnav. Walking distance to Pembroke castle (less than 5 minutes). One driveway parking space. Further parking across the road in car park (charged) if needed. Double bed upstairs was comfortable. Bathroom had shower over the bath.

Hot weather made sleeping in the roof space difficult. Bringing a fan is recommended in hot weather. The downstairs lounge has a sofa bed feature, but this would fill the lounge width-wise, and you wouldn't be able to walk past an opened-out sofa bed, but would have to climb over it. 2 stools at the breakfast bar, so fine for 1-2 people, but it would be a difficult fit for more than 2 people.

First impressions weren’t great with the broken plant pots and wilted plants. The front door was very dirty and when walking in to property it smelt of damp. The property was well laid out but was grubby and in need of some TLC. The soft furnishings including the sofa, cushions, throws and rug smelled and were in need of a good clean. The bathroom requires updating and bathroom window is not secure even when closed so this was a security issue. The bed covers smelt of sweat not sure how often the quilt or pillow protectors are cleaned/changed and suspect quilt cover was washed in laundrette as did not smell clean and fresh. I had to put the bed cushions and throw in drawers as they smelt dirty. We have previously managed our own letting property on booking dot com so important when presenting a property for rent that it is clean. I did note cleaning company managed the cleaning and this in my experience often leads to standards falling. The bathroom bin was not emptied from previous customer visit and had tissues and tampon papers in it - not good. We left a day early.
