Trendy 1BR in West Kensington -opposite Station

The flat is directly across from the Wet Kensington Tube station in a neighbourhood we like. There are many shops, pubs, grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The flat was clean, big and had everything we needed. Despite being able to hear the Tube trains, the sound didn’t bother us at all. We especially appreciated the coffee and the washing machine and drying rack.

The door code never worked for the flat. After several texts and calls we were able to speak to someone who told us how to get into the lock box for a key. We used the key the entire time. The bed was small and not particularly comfortable for us. Unfortunately, the bedroom was unbearably hot, despite having 2 fans which really just pushed the extremely hot air around and made it difficult to sleep. This is the only reason we would not book here in the summer. We also suggest adding another mirror near a plug as it is impossible to use hair appliances without a mirror.

Clean and tidy Excellent location

So close to public transport even when trains on strike. Lots of food areas and easy access to London sightseeing. Train noise not an issue and great access to groceries and food. Was clean except for communal entrance.

Living on 2 levels can be an issue if you don’t like stairs.

For a city break the location was excellent, literally across the road from the tube station. Overall great facilities inside the apartment, especially if you wanted to do self catering, local supermarket in walking distance. Bed was comfortable and water pressure from the shower very good.

The entry into the building was very dirty and a bit scruffy which doesn’t give a great first impression. We struggled with the entry code system into the apartment and had to contact the agent a couple of times, who were helpful. The biggest negative and not all together the fault of the apartment was the heat, especially in the bedroom it was unbearable even though we had 2 fans, I would recommend they invest in air con for the future.
