Bel appartement - Nice centre

Very modern and spacious, had everything an apartment would need, the sofa bed was a bit old and the shower had a funny smell, nothing some bleach wouldnt have sorted. Overall a very nice apartment.

I didnt like having to collect a key from a place no where near the apartment, it was yet another taxi ride to collect it. You cant access the apartment until 4pm which is not acceptable, it doest take 6 hours to clean. Then we had to store luggage at a nearby shop, yet more unexpected costs. Although its a very long walk from the old town and beach, we did have access to the trams nearby. Lastly the inconvenience of a diverted taxi journey to drop off the key again and then finally onto the airport. I wouldnt stay at this place again for the above reasons.

Would be perfect if they fix the key pick up. This is a very new and updated apartment, you will be very comfortable during your stay here. Air conditioning works (though it quickly warms up when you cook). The host company is responsive. It's nice that they provide coffee pods, dish soap and pods for the dishwasher and body soap. The washing machine is new and amazing(I bought clothes pins to be safe). It is a 5-10 min walk from the Nice-Riquier train stop so if you arrive by train or plan on doing any day trips it is very easy to do so. If you are traveling with more than one person, someone can wait with all the bags at the train stop while the other person picks up the key. I can see if you had to walk with all of your luggage to pick up the key it would really ruin the stay. The building had a note that they needed to fix the front door, when we arrived luckily a resident was going in to show us we had to really shove to push the door open. The area is diverse and really nothing special but it seemed safe and was near grocery stores, a playground and a bus stop. It was about a 40 minute walk down to Old Nice, about 20 min by bus. They do ask for a €500 security deposit (really it was a hold) to be directly wired to them, which we had never done in Bookings before. But it was fine and we got it returned(maybe they do this to make sure you walk the key back). We did the requested check out instructions of bringing out your garbage bags, turning off the lights, running the dish washer and returning the key. If they fixed the key location pick up this place and one other item we told the company about (which may have been resolved by covering the shower drain with a towel bc there was a weird smell), it would be a 10 for the value.

Surrounding area is nothing special. But close to a big grocery store and train and bus station. But you wouldn't get this size and nice of a place downtown.
