Situated on a private road on Bracken Mountain and nestled up against Pisgah Forest and Bracken Preserve, you can hike and bike from your doorstep. This spacious two bedroom, one bath apartment offers a serene, comfortable home base from which to adventure and explore Western NC.

Situated on a private gravel road on Bracken Mountain and nestled up against thousands of acres of Pisgah Forest and Bracken Preserve, you can hike and bike right from your door. For nature lovers, local wildlife abounds, drawn by the woods as well as the wildflower gardens on the property.
This 2-bedroom apartment is perfect for your escape to Brevard. Wake up to incredible sunrise views from your comfortable queen bed in the main bedroom; the second bedroom offers a full bed, and twin bed ensuring family or guests will have a comfortable stay. The living room includes a gas fireplace, large TV, and plenty of books and games, plus an attached study for room to spread out. The Wi-Fi is excellent 90%+ of the time.
For those who love to cook, the large kitchen features a gas stove, stainless steel cookware, full size refridgerator, dishwasher, and much more. A gas Weber Grill on the flagstone patio completes the picture.
The property also features a washing machine and dryer, hair dryer, and iron for your convenience. The apartment is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival by local cleaning company Go Green Cleaners to insure that everything is in spic and span for our guests.

This is a private apartment with a private entrance and patio, complete with expansive views. On occasion, the owners may be in the upper portion of the home. They are very quiet and will completely honor your privacy. The most you might see them is working in the gardens, a true labor of love. Mountain House far exceeded expectations and was one of my all time favorite home rentals. The view is spectacular, and the home takes full advantage with large windows throughout. The home is so well equipped that we lacked for nothing over our 6 night stay. The covered porch area allowed us to sit in the rocking chairs outside, even during rainy days. The inside space was beautifully and comfortably appointed with high quality at every turn and even down to the smaller perks, like lights in the closets, an entryway with a bench & coat/purse hooks, dimmable light switches, and lots of bathroom hooks! The beds were extremely comfortable and dressed with comfy white linens. The bathroom is spacious with plenty of shelving to unpack toiletries. We didn't use the TV, DVD with tons of movies available, games, or the gorgeous stone (gas) fireplace, but they are available. We also didn't walk any of the trails leading from the property, but they are there too! Despite the rural setting, we were only a 10 minute drive into downtown Brevard. The hosts have a beautiful property, and I am already dreaming of a return visit!
