About this house rental
Close to town, beach and the ferry boats, this custom built 5 bedroom, 4.1 bath home with central air conditioning is on a private level landscaped lot. This spacious and bright home is on a private quiet road and is just a ten minute walk to town, the beach and a short stroll to the Westmoor Club.
Enter into a dramatic two story entrance with vaulted wood beamed ceiling. The living room has a white-washed two story brick fireplace. An open floor plan leads to the dining room, large eat-in kitchen and adjacent family room. The public rooms open to the backyard and to the partially covered and open deck for both grilling/eating and enjoying the weather on several teak lounge chairs.
The gourmet kitchen has stainless steel appliances, a large bar with five stools and a separate table for six. The adjacent dining room area has additional sitting for eight. The sunny family room has an entertainment center - HDTV, streaming and cable, and 5G wireless internet.
The floors throughout the home are wide pine and stone. There is a first floor bedroom suite with queen bed and full bath. An additional covered front porch in the front of the house has furniture for relaxing and enjoying that morning cup of coffee.
The second floor has a sitting/family room area, with TV, books to read and a French door that opens to a balcony with chairs to enjoy the scenic views.
The master suite on this floor has a white-washed wooden vaulted ceiling. This spacious room has a king bed, full bath and large TV, desk, and day bed. There are two additional bedrooms with twin beds and another full bathroom on this floor.
The finished lower level has a bedroom with queen bed and full bath, adjacent game room with slap air hockey and board games. This area is great for children or for an au pair. There is a shed with 5 adult bikes, child's bike, fishing rods, beach chairs, beach mats, a beach caddy and three coolers. A generous supply of beach towels are stored in the kitchen cabinet.
We built this house in this location because it has a private setting but so close to the town and beach. You could walk, bike or take the public shuttle bus to town or bike. Uber is available all over the island as well. Public transportation is available to go to the ocean beaches i.e. Surfside, Cisco et al. Bartlett Farms, Cisco Breweries, Sconset and Madaket are also a short car ride away. This is the perfect family house for extended families since each can stay on different floors. Comfy and quiet corners are perfect for relaxing and reading!

Great Location! The only reason i didn't give it 5 was the heat in the house didn’t work well. Couldn't get the house warmer than 68. It was cold outside and snowing at times. We had 7 people and the bedroom offerings were great. Constant construction going on around the house, so noisy at times. Ample cooking stuff and utensils. We had a wonderful thanksgiving and birthday party. Owner very responsible and was in communication.
