Host photos accurately convey this property. We liked them and enjoyed our three night stay. We were comfortable within minutes of arrival. Host instructions were clear and easy to comply with. There is lots to do within walking distance, but the neighborhood was quiet and attractive. I've always wanted a claw foot tub, but the one in the property was a luxury experience with no remodeling hassle. We entertained friends at Speisekammer and walked home after the party without having to clean up or drive. Sleeping was as comfortable as we enjoy at home, unlike most of our 100 stays in SF 4* hotels. We didn't cook because restaurant food in Alameda is a great change from places we usually go at home in Santa Cruz. Alameda is not yet a tourist town, so restaurants provide quality food to stay in business. Their premises aren't pretentious, nor are their prices, but eating out in Alameda is effortless enjoyment. If you never experienced the charms of Alameda, try this place out. San Francisco is less than an hour away by ferry if you opt for city, but you'll be glad you left your car in Alameda.
