About this cottage rental
Newly renovated 100 year old backyard studio in the heart of the Alameda island. Private fenced garden with bbq. 7 mins from Oakland Int. Airport. About 20 mins to SF city by ferry. Convenient location to UC Berkeley. Close to BART. Beach, parks, local markets and restaurants in walking distance.
• Fully-equipped, self contained studio, with cooking basics, microwave, airfrier/oven, induction cooktop, coffee machine, electric water boiler, private patio garden and BBQ.
Access from driveway. Street Parking. Pls do not park on driveway.
*Not a party house: we wish you have fun, but we also like to be considerate to our neighbors. Many houses built in this area are very close to each other. pls kindly keep louder conversations in doors after 10pm. Absolutely no loud music and parties.
City of Alameda Ordinance prohibits smoking inside the house and anywhere in the property.
This is NOT a party house. It is a private residence in a quiet neighborhood. Please be considerate not to make too much noise and neighbors will report behavior that is not aligned with the house rules/quiet hours.

The host was very helpful with several issues that came up. I had some trouble with the security codes, and she was both helpful and patient with me until the problem was solved. At first I could not get TV reception, but she came over and fixed that too (maybe a cord had gotten unplugged?). The cottage was very comfortable, although a little chilly. I ran the wall heater, usually for several hours at a time, but I didn't want to run it too much. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept better than I had for a long time. The shower was very nice too. The only thing it lacked was a grab bar for safety (I am an older person). I had all the amenities I needed -- there were plenty of K-cups for really good coffee and, although I did no cooking, the microwave came in handy on several occasions. The place was basically perfect for me.

I gave this property five will deserve stars. The property was just like the website described. Small but important extra touches such as wooden hangers and ample closet. Space, light and bright, safe, secure and clean, and in a neighborhood where you can walk to pick up groceries and a few small errands meet this day excellent. The host of the property was polite and professional and proactive. I would absolutely stay here again when traveling with Myself or just one other person.
