2 Bed Media City Flat Salford Quays

Wonderful flat! The beds were comfy, the place was clean and had everything you needed really. Great communication with the hosts. Easy enough to find and get hold of the keys in the lockbox. The building felt safe with a 24hr security person at the entrance. We were working at the Lowry so a very nice 15min walk along the canal which was great! Great links into town too with the tram stop a 5min walk from the flat. Would definitely stay there again.

The area around the lockbox is very overgrown. Probably more of a council thing but might get a little difficult to get to it eventually. Not having two sets of keys wasn't ideal. There was supposed to be a spare which we were kindly giving the code for but it wasn't there. Told the hosts and they are going to look into it. Not a big issue at all and good communication about it.

Not renters fault but one lift broken so had to wait a while for single lift to work

We stayed in the apartment for one night and it was a good location for getting to and from a game at Old Trafford, with a pleasant walk along the quay.

Collection of the key from the lockbox in a carpark just seemed really dodgy - luckily it was daytime and I wasn't alone otherwise I would have felt unsafe. The apartment building is inbetween a couple of unfinished blocks and felt a bit desolate. The apartment itself was fine for one night - we just slept there, but it was sparsely furnished eg there were four of us staying and only 3 cups, a couple of bowls, a broken shelf in the kitchen etc. I just found it really expensive for what it was but we had little choice when the date for the Man U game we were attending was changed. We had come from a four star hotel in the centre of Manchester (for almost half the price!) and in hindsight, and if we came again I would have stayed an extra night there and taken the tram to Old Trafford. But having never been to Manchester before we didn't realise how excellent the transport links are. They also wanted £300 damage deposit. I'm baffled by the 'excellent' reviews, I wouldn't recommend the stay at the price we paid (maybe these reviewers had a very low rate?).
