We had a great time (again). We like being close enough to Viroqua that going into town for the farmers market / shopping is convenient. There's plenty for the kids to do inside and out. The Daniels generously made time to give us a farm tour; the kids always like the farm animals. A major draw for me is the proximity to good trout fishing. I was able to fish around kids schedule (including one who is still napping) and caught quality fish at all times of the day. The house is well-appointed and a restful retreat. Unless you're in the creek at all possible hours - then you get home tired from catching fish.

The host was very nice, helpful, and communicative. Property is lovely, isolated, and scenic - on a working cattle farm. 15 minutes from downtown Viroqua. Several spaces are available indoors and out for socializing.The property description was slightly inaccurate with number of beds, but the owner was very apologetic and actively trying to correct that -she offered compensation for the mistake. The owners allowed us to shelter our vehicles in a large barn during severe weather and actively warned us when a tornado warning was issued for the area.The house is spacious and perfect for our group of 7 men, but would also accommodate several couples with or without kids.It is in the country and on a farm, so there are some bugs in the house (Japanese and other beetles), but that’s farm life and it wasn’t a problem.It was a great homestead for our large group of trout fishermen and we’d recommend it for an outdoorsy escape from the city.

We stayed here to see relatives over Easter weekend. The age range that stayed at the house was 2-88 and everyone loved it. The hosts are amazing and so helpful. It is a beautiful big house in a beautiful setting. The views are spectacular. There is a lot to do all over the area.
