Apartamentos Esperanza by gaiarooms

The location is excellent! Easy walking to major attractions, shops and restaurants just across or a stone’s throw away. It was clean. We especially appreciated their accommodation of early check-in and being able to leave our luggage at the nearby hotel after check out.

There was smell of cigarette smoke. There’s no Airconditioning and it felt hot inside the apartment. There are ceiling fans but it just blows hot air. You can choose to open the windows but you’ll have to contend with the noise in the pedestrian street below.

The location.

The instructions to check in were messy. I did the check in for the main guest and I got various messages saying that the virtual keys can be obtained by clicking on a link. So we got to the building only to discover that by clicking on the link I get only instructions saying I need to pick up the keys from a hotel. We had all the luggages with us and it was a very hot day. I called them and they told me the system wasn't working and this is why I had to go to the hotel to pick up the keys. I went there by myself, leaving the other two guests waiting with the luggage in front of the building. When I got to the hotel, the receptionist was insisting that the other two guests have to do the checking before she could give me the keys. Then when I really got annoyed at her telling her that their checking in system creates confusion and disconfort, she just sent me a standard message on Whatsapp with the virtual keys and instructions to send the IDs of the other guests by WhatsApp. I couldn't believe my eyes that she did that after 15 minutes of arguing with her instead of sending this message from the very beginning. It was basically unprofessional. No apologies, no empathy, nothing. On the other hand, the so called studio is just a room with a private bathroom along with many others in the same apartment in a building. Nothing special. There were just two coffee capsules and no shampoo for three guests. I would not recommend it if you are used to be treated with professionalism and a bit of empathy. It is just a functional place, that is all.
