Charming and well-equipped. Two separate rooms made three people comfortable, probably fine for four. The kitchen table became the social hub. Clean throughout, especially the bedrooms and kitchen. Location rewards exploration: Edogawa City is pedestrian-friendly, with two well-kept riverbanks, temples, museums, and 24h convenience within easy reach.

Bathroom is clean but cramped and dated. Heating is functional but hard to distribute, you end up either boiling the bedroom or under-heating the rest, and poor insulation means the heater runs constantly.

It was a lovely little apartment, very clean and host provided soap, shampoo & conditioner and cooking utensils all supplied. Washing machine and a very small line to hang clothes also included but there is a laundromat downstairs which was nice and handy. Walking distance to the 7/11 and multiple vending machines located on the street outside which was amazing when the weather got really hot. It’s about 20-25 minute walk to the koiwa train station or you can catch a bus to the train station across the road from the 7/11 (bus stop outside my basket) which is a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

The apartment is very small we travelled in a group of 5 and it was definitely too small for all of us I think 3 should be the maximum occupancy. The neighbours ripped up our rubbish and threw it on the bottom stairs because we put the rubbish out on Saturday night when we should have put it out on Sunday night so make sure not to put it out any earlier than Sunday night. The neighbours also hid the blue net so we had to use the net near the laundromat I suggest familiarising yourself with the rubbish situation in Japan because it took us quite a while to figure out there was a nice lady across the street who helped us with this. The staircase to our apartment on the second floor was extremely narrow and difficult to transport our luggage. Thankfully we only had to do this twice during our stay.

Lovely cosy place in the quiet streets of Edogawa. Perfect for a group of 3-4 people if you want to be away from the central areas but still have easy access to all trains, buses, etc. The facilities were nice and clean, staff were helpful over the phone, and it had everything we needed. We would love to stay here again!

The beds/futons were very comfortable, though one group did find that they woke up sore, but we all slept great otherwise. If you are sensitive to beds, you may need an extra blanket.
