Moorhen Cottage

The owner let us check in before 16.00 (the checking in time dictated by booking.com) she also sorted parking permit and even waited for us in said parking area to make sure we got there ok, constant updates on our long journey there via text and we were allowed in the cottage at 12am when we arrived . Milk and other gifts left for us too. Can highly recommend this place

Very clean and beautiful house in a beautiful town. There’s a nice river streaming at the back of the house. The town has historic buildings, good restaurants and a beautiful castle. Ideal located for visiting Snowdonia, Brecon beacons and the Cotswolds. We would book this again.

This cottage was everything we could have wanted for our three night stay in Ludlow. Fantastic location (very short walk to the town centre) and with parking nearby, the cottage was beautifully presented and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was lovely and clean. The owner was incredibly helpful, with great communication. Highly recommend staying here, we had a lovely experience.

Beautiful setting, handy for exploring the centre of Ludlow, comfortable beds.

Unfortunately there was, quite often,a strong smell of sewage and drains, which was a shame because the views from the terrace were idyllic. The smell was only in the cottage when the door was open, and it was only about half the time outside.
