The house was lovely with great bedrooms and bathrooms. Enjoyed the living areas. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. Loved the bedroom with the bath in the window even though we didnt get around to using it. Good location. Parking space is quite small but we did manage to get our biggish car in it. On street parking was good too as we got a spot opposite the house.
To my absolute horror we were approached the evening after we left the house by the owner informing us that there were some items missing - two ceramic coasters and a cloth table doilly We had also apparently written on the kitchen floor with black pen. He asked if we wanted to settle through Booking.com or privately as he would need to replace items and have the marble floor cleaned before his next guests were due. We told him we had no idea what he was referring to and he said that he would look into things further when he returned to the house. I have had no further correspondence or apology from the owner. We stayed here for our daughter's 30th birthday and the accusations upset all of us and spoilt what had been a lovely weekend.

We had a good welcome from Paul and a tour of the house. Comfortable, warm, spacious, well equipped. We were able to park two cars safely, one on the road and one on the drive.
We forgot to bring some games; it would be nice to have them in the house. This is not a criticism, more a suggestion! We found nothing about the property we didn’t like.

Paul is a fantastic host and house is absolutely gorgeous. House is amazing and location is excellent. Lots of little touches to make you feel comfortable. Highly recommend.
Beds a little firm for us, but fine with an extra duvet over the top and a short stay. Otherwise cannot fault and Paul is lovely and cannot do enough to help.

The house was full of character, the kitchen had all we needed and the bedrooms were spacious. The living room was great for a family of four, with large tv.
Parking was a little tight and no garden, but no big issues

Lovely house and location.
It’s a shame there is no outside space in the summer but if you’re there for a weekend and out and about it’s not an issue.

The location was fantastic, we could easily walk into town, just a five minutes to the market square. A lovely walk to the river via the side of the castle and opposite a lovely beer garden!
The house was clean and well stocked with coffee, tea and toiletries.
Just a shame there isn’t a garden but that can’t be helped.

The very high standard of finish in a wonderful period style property.
I really couldn’t find anything to grumble about. First Class/5* accommodation

A beautiful tastefully furnished cottage in the heart of Ludlow. We met as a group of friends for the weekend and this was a welcoming and comfortable base. Paul was extremely helpful and accommodating re arrival and departure times, car parking etc. Lots of thoughtful touches eg drinks “station” on top floor, lovely comfy seating upstairs and gorgeous antique furniture. We couldn’t have asked for more, it really surpassed our expectations.

Booked for men working in the area, they never advise what they like with a property only what they dont like and there were no complaints from the men staying.

the location was great, our family had owned the house in the 90s so we knew the house pretty well. It was beautifully done and lovely to stay in. it would be good to try and come back in the winter as it feels like it would be very cosy. Loved the tea station upstairs
The pillows were very hard!! could have done with feather pillows, or at least a selection of pillows!!
Neighbour was not very friendly, she came and told us we were not allowed to open the side door while we were cooking and so we had to open the front door for a lot of the day. Said there was a stench of garlic!! I was cooking with garlic but still... She then came back to tell us the kitchen outlet was overflowing!! not really our problem, we were just washing up!!
As the windows were secondary glazed they were quite difficult to open and it was quite a muggy stay.
No downstairs WC, it didn't matter to us but my 90 year old father in law (the previous owner) only made the trip up once!!

Excellent location in easy walking distance of the town centre, beautifully appointed and furnished with all home comforts provided for
Nothing really - parking has the potential to be tricky if more than one car but the owners provide a street permit and we always found a space

a bit more china, mugs, glasses, would have been nice

we loved the decor, unfussy but everything we needed. Every room was beautifully presented.
It would have been great had the en-suite upstairs been a Jack and Jill bathroom as the one bedroom without the facility of it’s own bathroom was not ideal. Either the occupants of that room have to wait to use the en-suite or go down to the bathroom, which is ok during the day but not so convenient during the night.
The other problem was that it said there was parking for 2 vehicles. one was permit parking -great. However, the other was off road on the gravel. unfortunately as the curb had not been dropped it was impossible to use as the curbs are high.

We were encouraged to contact Rose the owner prior to our arrival and were able to access the propery earlier than stated. Rose met us at the door and showed us around the property. There was a variety of information leaflets and books on the local area provided for us to read at our leisure. Location was great, with easy access to the town centre, castle and railway station. Supermarket, restaurants pubs and takeaways were within easy walking distance from the property.
The town house itself was very spacious and comfortable, very well presented and maintained. Cleanliness was excellent, and all the equipment provided was of top quality and in excellent condition. Milk, a box of chocolates and apples had been left for us to enjoy on our arrival, along with hospitality consisting of a variety of teas, coffee and biscuits which was very unexpected and much appreciated. On leaving we were encouraged to continue to utilise the parking space until we were ready to leave Ludlow for the journey home, which was a lovely gesture. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turford House and look forward to returning to stay again in the future.
Five family members enjoyed our stay at Turford House. The only things we felt lacking was an area of outside space to relax, and although our visit in March was not impacted on this too much, we felt a visit during the summer months may have been.
It would also be beneficial if the bathroom on the third floor could be accessed by the two bedrooms which share that floor. We found it a little restrictive to have to utilise the bathroom on the floor below rather than go through the master bedroom, and risk disturbing others.

Paul arrived with the keys and welcomed us with a detailed introduction to beautiful Turford House. The rooms are spacious and the three floors were ideal to allow separation of generations !! We shall be returning, without doubt!
Excellent accommodation - very comy beds, a huge sofa, huge tv with netflix (and amazon connection to prime tv- if you already have an account, which we did). Also it was immacuately clean!!!!

pillows were a bit hard but everything else was great.

The most beautiful house, immaculately presented. No traffic and some serious double glazing made it lovely and quiet. Couple this to comfy beds, and we all slept like logs. Plenty of places to eat just up the hill towards town, with the impressive castle just a little further on.
The low ceilings might make it unsuitable if you're over six foot! Otherwise, I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Stunning house, beautiful decor, spotlessly clean, very central location. Would highly recommend.
The only very minor thing was that it was very hot weather during our weekend stay so some lightweight sheets on the beds instead of duvets would have been great.
