Comfy bed.

The pots and cutlery had been put away filthy, kettle still had old water in it and the toaster is rusty. Kitchen cupboards loose on walls. Bed comfy but didny sleep due to a constant tapping noise all night coming from the bathroom. Also shower leaking under floor making carpet wet.

Lovely cosy cottage in a great location with everything you need on your doorstep.

Lovely cottage, nicely laid out with 2 bedrooms and en-suites upstairs and a downstairs toilet. We had elderly parents with us who struggled with the stairs, a double hand rail on the stairs would have provided peace of mind.

Just needed a handrail on the stairs. Nothing we didn’t like, little finishing touches would help like ensuring the toilet fitments are secure etc a little tlc, otherwise perfect.

perfectly fine for 1 night, we were there to see my daughter for her birthday as she works and stays in Filey

The bed we slept in wasn’t very comfortable, we both woke up with backache, but our 2 teenage daughters bed was fine. It was really cold when we got there as no heating was on, I did play around with the boiler and managed to fathom it out but then it made a whistling noise when it was in which was annoying. I think the heating should have been on for us when we got there.

Location good next to a bus stop train station 10 mins walk away. Breakfast was good but service and facilities poor

The accommodation was perfect for the money just one aspect that wants addressed. There needs to be a bannister erected on the stairs. There is a bannister to the left hand side but only half way up, there needs a pole on the right hand side wall all the way up the stairs.

Great holiday location in a great village

Clean, well furnished, quiet, spacious, all in a lovely village setting. Located In the rear courtyard of the pub. Staff were great, food delicious and nice atmosphere. We had breakfast in the pub and it was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We came for a Friends party in the village and the staff at the white swan were very helpful.

Breakfast was good ,very busy and the staff worked hard and always with a smile .nothing was too much trouble.

Pillows poor quality. Bedding and towels need upgrading. Would have appreciated hooks on doors and some kind of shelf in the shower. Ice cube tray would be useful. Those are just a personal preference. Had a lovely stay. Thankyou

Home from home in a lovely little village close to the coast.

Lovely home from home property and perfect that we could take our little dog too. Lovely clean cottage that was furnished perfectly with lovely bedding and fresh towels. Had a game of monopoly too which was a laugh.

I would be nit picking to find anything I disliked because we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying again.

The cottage has piteous, but needs some finishing touches

It was ok

Very few windows and all upstairs windows were frosted. So no views. Kitchen was lacking equipment and no small welcome pack Like tea, coffee, milk. There were no outside table or chairs to sit on. Big mistake.

Superb spot, lovely staff

Beautiful cottage, nice fixtures and fittings, very comfortable. Parking outside property was very convenient and safe. Kyle and Jade made us really welcome when we arrived. Pippa and Brummy were lovely and engaging when we had our evening meal and worked really hard all night. Great location for village amenities, local pubs or further afield. They are happy to bring food to your door, excellent breakfast and the chef came in on his day off to do it. Got a call to say we had left something behind within 5 mins of us leaving which was handy.

Late check in 4 pm.. A welcome pack would have upped the score, no complimentary coffee, water, wine etc, although there were some teabags. For the price decent coffee/ tea should be standard, although we were more interested in getting the rounds in to be fair.

A great find in the heart of East Yorkshire, can't wait to visit again.

The cottage was well equipped everything you needed, beautifully decorated and ideally placed in the village centre. The staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent especially the breakfast , would defiantly recommend. A great base for visiting the east coast. Dog friendly, will defiantly be returning soon.

Very nice place in a quiet little village

Cottage was very pleasant and comfortable. Nicely appointed throughout. Plenty of parking right outside the cottage. Staff were all great and served up a great breakfast.

Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but I think a lot of the marks (mildew) were probably down to a lack of ventilation. It wasn’t an issue though.

Unfortunately Unhelpful miserable experience !!

The area was stunning

There was a mistake made on my part with the booking date,I booked our stay a day to early. The Manager of the pub wasn't very helpful or sympathetic & refused a refund he told us Booking.com wouldn't allow him to.He told us to come back the next day which wasn't an option for us because we had no where to stay for that night. We had no other choice but to travel back home. I contacted Booking.com to explain the predicament we were in to be informed that the Manager was able to make a decision to refund us,unfortunately he wouldn't 😔

Short roadtrip stopover

Great size for 2 couples sharing, with ensuites to both rooms. Plenty of comfortable seating and spacious downstairs area. Comfortable beds. Staff friendly and welcoming, showed to the property and explained appliances use when checking in. Parking right outside the front door as the property was in the pub car park. Very little noise from the beer garden area.

Mould in the base of the shower of smaller bedroom. And a pet hate of mine - no mirror near a plug when using a hairdryer to dry hair (easily fixed!) We did eat in the pub in the evening but found the food expensive for the standard of what was served. Didn't have breakfast there.

Nothing. Just had to fire the central heating up on arrival and all was great. I didn’t see any sort of information file in the cottage to help to log into the wi fi, etc. but I found my was around everything.
