Welcome to Bluebell Cottage - part of the Bay Filey Holiday Village it is ideal for couples or a growing family with children.

This cottage has been partially refurbished including new corner sofa (with bed), new dining furniture, replacement carpets, replacement radiators, new patio furniture, new soft furnishings, new blinds, high speed internet and new beds to both bedrooms.

Enter into the airy hallway with storage for all your essentials and access to the downstairs cloak / WC.

Walk through into the large open plan L shaped lounge with corner sofa (and bed), SMART TV, dining room (sits 4) and fully fitted kitchen (refreshed in late 2025) including dishwasher, washer/dryer etc.

Upstairs the property comprises of 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom with a large family bathroom complete with bath and overhead rainfall shower.

If you want bedding for the sofa bed you must request this as a chargeable extra at checkout.

Off the lounge area are French doors open onto a private furnished patio, surrounded by large, shared garden and landscaped grounds.

Travel Cot and High Chair are available for use free of charge (own bedding required).

We leave a few games for our guests to use. This warm and cosy house is ideal for breaks all year round.

Cottage was great inside but the outside let it down a bit The furniture outside was very dirty and unusable, which was a shame as we were there on a lovely weekend and it would have been nice to be able to sit outside with a glass of wine. Also the small aree of grass belonging to the cottage needed cutting Inside , it has everything you could possibly need. Is spacious, clean and tidy

Bluebell Cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped and very airy and light. Beds were very comfortable. The beach wasn't as accessible as we'd hoped for and down a long and steep path. I couldn't manage the walk due to my age and a knee problem. Management kept us well informed throughout the whole process via text and email and Anthony was very helpful and friendly on phone calls.

We've just returned home from our second stay at The Bay. As usual, we did not want to leave. Bluebell Cottage is wonderfully welcoming and has all you need for your break away. We had a short but comfortable stay at Bluebell Cottage. Its homely and has good access to the beach. Only things I can recommend for better is it to have it deep cleaned before next visitor.

We stayed in Anchor Bay with our little boy and had a great time. The cottage was well-equipped and equally well located and we liked how close the pub was for food and drinks. The pool on site was also great, as was the park. The beds at the cottage were extremely comfy and we slept well. A great stay and we're looking at going back with our large, extended family (30+ of us) next summer.

From the moment we booked our stay at Bluebell cottage, the communication from Anthony was outstanding. The cottage itself was immaculate and very homely. We stayed for 5 nights and The Bay is a wonderful base to explore the Yorkshire Coast. Bluebell cottage itself is so relaxing with a modern decor and comfortable beds. You are provided with plenty of towels for your stay. I would definitely stay here again and it has genuinely been our favourite UK break

Had a lovely short break, in a very conformable cottage. We'll equipped for couples and families alike. From small child equipment today, out at the beach. Everything you need, for a homely stay. Felt more like a small village. Than a holiday stay . Only thing we found, was unsure where to park. But we had availability behind the cottage. We didn't use the pool. But looked very quiet. Cottage didn't need heating on, as was very warm. Very close to lots of different beaches. Would definitely recommend. Cottage came with everything you needed. So just pack your case and enjoy Anthony was a great guy to talk with. Very helpful . Looking to another stay with anchor bay.

This was our 2nd visit to the cottage , having gone the first time early June , the cottage is lovely and clean , it has all the home comforts , and is well placed to visit the many tourist attractions , the area has lots of dog friendly places , which was good for us , as we took our westie with us.

Very comfortable and well kitted out. Plenty of crockery and utensils. We have stopped here before as we know the owners. We tried to use swimming pool but always full maybe some sort of booking system would be good. Beach was nice but hilly to access.

This was a nice house for a family of 4. We are in fact are a family of 5 and opted for the sofa bed for our eldest daughter. What we didn't consider however was them sleeping in for ages or wanting an early night and that put the downstairs largely out of action for times we might have used it because its small and open plan downstairs so even boiling the kettle is loud. Location was good. The walk to the beach cafe is recommended and is the food in the pub. The shop is handy but closes early. We never used the other facilities as limited availability and preferred to venture out for the day. Finally e didn't take our dog, although was going too but in hindsight I'm glad because there is no garden to let them run free and you have to keep them on leads until you get to the beach. We have a springer and he likes to run free so glad we didn't take him although the other dogs there seemed to enjoy the beach of course. All in all - nice purpose built complex.

Blue bell cottage was the perfect accommodation for our family holiday. The cottage was spotless and very comfortable we were very happy to be staying there. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was a Godsend, no soggy towels to deal with, thank you Sarah and Iain and all at the Bay.

Fabulous well stocked cottage. The tea, coffee and biscuits were a nice touch. Exceptionally clean, lovely decor, beds very comfy. One slight issue, could do with a rubber bath mat, bath is so deep, tricky to get out off without grab rails. Otherwise, everything was perfect, even the weather.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Lovely walks to beach through woodland or through village. Unfortunately not somewhere we would visit again because of garden situation. Would have loved a closed in area to let dogs outside but all areas round cottage are open so they had to remain indoors while we were indoors. Cleanliness could have been better. We got away with our young daughter and chose The Bay as it had amenities to keep her busy (beach/swimming pool/park etc). Lovely purpose built area, great for walks and activities. The property was excellent, lovely and spacious in a good location (was quiet as we weren't too close to the pub/restaurant), perfect for us. Had to message Anthony about a small incident with the freezer and he was excellent about it. Would recommend! P.S. the on site pizza restaurant were not accepting card payments when we were there, bring some cash along just in case as the nearest ATM is the Haven next door.
