We had a great stay at Daihaichi in Takayama. The accommodation was very nice, comfortable, and full of charm. The location was excellent, making it very easy to explore the city and nearby attractions. The host was also extremely helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Takayama.

Lovely apartment. There are steep narrow stairs from ground floor where the bathroom is, but we found them manageable. Lovely big space upstairs was very welcoming to come home to. Comfortable beds and kitchen for us was great but only used for breakfasts.

A really beautiful home. Felt like you were very much apart of the town. Close to the river, shops and old town. The beds were amazing and the space was incredibly comfortable. We really loved our stay.

Daihachi is stunning - a modern take on a traditional Japanese home - and right in the centre of the old town so you can come and go easily on foot. Wake up to the sound only tumbling water in the river across the road.
