The location was excellent. It was a decently-equipped apartment with most essentials. It was very comfortable and homey.
I didn't like the arrangements for entering the apartment. I was to click on a link provided for the front door to be opened. This didn't work, even when I called the owner to try to open the door. It was a neighbor in the building who buzzed us into the building. However, the link did work for entering the apartment.
The bathroom was musty, the shower curtain had a lot of mold, and there was a bottle of hand soap by the sink, but no soap in the shower.

The flat is great and has everything you need. Location is also great. Bed comfortable. Host is helpful. If you stay outside of the heating season it seems to be perfect…
Unfortunately I needed to bother the host a lot due to extreme loud sound of malfunctioning radiators which are obviously to be replaced (both in sleeping and dining room), there was one quite night because it was warm in NYC and central heating was turned off. Otherwise it was terrible and the noise prevented me from sleeping (and I am not a light sleeper). Every hour when heating turned off the sound was as of someone is hitting the radiators and I needed to wake up. Unfortunately not much to be done here except exchange old broken radiators or stop hosting during the cold season to not disturb people’s sleeping. Hopefully it will be fixed for future guests.

Cet appartement typiquement New yorkais est idéalement placé ! Super quartier, proche du métro, des supermarchés, des restos etc … il est très bien équipé (ustensiles de cuisine, draps, serviettes etc..) pour information, le couchage dans le salon est un lit d’appoint à installer en arrivant, mais il est confortable. L’hôte est accueillante et très disponible, super contact.
Le gros point noir est le bruit du chauffage ! Il est très difficile de dormir dans le salon. Le chauffage « claque » et les bruits de tuyaux sont vraiment très forts, nous recommandons donc de prévoir les boules quies.
