This was one of the best holidays we have ever had! The cabin was perfect and we had all we needed to cook for ourselves which is a bonus. A breeze off the lake and plenty of windows kept it cool in the heatwave and the hammock and sofa in the shelter were a bonus. There is a proper bathroom with a great shower. Our host Patrick was wonderful, he lives out of sight up the drive and the cabin felt private. He was very responsive to messages and so helpful. The views of the lake, sky and mountains were stunning, with a resident heron, friendly cows, rabbits, swans and swallows. It was a 15 minute drive to local villages for food, coffee and shopping. Cong is a delightful village with the Quiet Man Museum, historic Cong Abbey, nature woodland walks and the luxury Ashford Castle Hotel with high quality restaurants for a treat. We visited Galway for views of the bay, traditional music and gift shopping. The coastal town of Clifden, Kylemore Abbey with amazing kitchen garden and the wild Atlantic Way are an accessible drive away. We had lots of sunny days and loved our swims in the lake, but even in the rain we were cosy and snug. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway that feels a bit like glamping, with no risk of rain in the tent!

The cabin very well equipped. It was impeccably clean and fit out is high quality. A beautifully strong hot shower and loads of coffee pods for the coffee machine. The views are also extraordinary. Perfect for a one (I booked it alone) or for a couple.

No issues for me. Really pleasant.
