We loved the location. The flat was lovely, spacious and very comfortable, with a large bathroom. The lift was particularly useful for getting our luggage upstairs. There is also a handy Monop’ supermarket on the same street, at 22 Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie. The coffee machine wasn’t working, but as soon as we let the host know, they sent us a new one. We were pleasantly surprised by how quickly they sorted it out. We arrived by train at Gare du Nord and took bus 38 to Centre Georges Pompidou, then walked to the flat. We could have taken the Metro, but preferred the bus to avoid carrying our luggage up and down stairs. When leaving, we walked to Les Halles and followed the signs for the RER at Châtelet–Les Halles. The escalators made things easier with our luggage, and we took the RER B directly to Charles de Gaulle Airport.

This wasn’t an issue for me personally, but my friend, who slept on the sofa bed, found it rather uncomfortable. The metal frame along the edges dug into her, although sleeping in the centre was more comfortable. As she was using it on her own, she had enough room to do this.
