1 Bed Northern Quarter Loft City Centre

The flat is in a very nice building with big windows. I was also surprised to get a phone call from the hosts the day before our arrival to check if we need anything and if we know how to get to the place. As we visited Manchester during the heat wave, I asked if there was an air conditioning in the room and I learnt that there was none, just a fan. However, when we arrived to a place, there was an air conditioning device in the sleeping room which was a really nice surprise - and it also helped with the heat which was unbearable (especially in the other room... the fan was a good brand and it was a good device, but it couldn't help the temperature, really. The flat was a spacious and comfortable place. We noticed that the battery in the shower was broken and I let the host know about it, we had a handyman visiting our place, he was extremely nice and helpful.

The flat wasn't as clean as it could be... there are spiders' nets in the ceiling, and I also noticed quite a big spider near my bed. When trying to use the blinders in the window, my hands literally got stuck to it, it was that dirty. Last but not least - the building is old and I can understand a lot but ... the staircase smells with mould terribly and when you have a look at the ceiling... well, there are big black mould stains on the ceiling and the walls (especially on our floor). Luckily, it wasn't at all smelling in our flat so we were just covering our noses and mouth when moving downstairs and upstairs so as not to breath this thing into our lungs. It was still difficult when dragging our luggage on the third floor - and taking it back downstairs when we were leaving..

Le logement est très bien situé, à 15 minutes à pieds du centre ville. Le lit de la chambre à coucher est confortable. La salle de bains est assez grande et l'appartement est très lumineux. Il y a un grand frigo avec un grand congélateur, un micro-ondes et une machine à laver le linge.

Plusieurs petits détails qui pourraient améliorer le confort et le séjour dans cet appartement. Le canapé-lit n'est absolument pas confortable, il faudrait penser à le changer. Il n'y pas assez de couverts (3 couteaux, 2 cuillères à soupe, 4 fourchettes) ce qui ne permet pas la location à une famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants. La propreté laisse à désirer, nous avons trouvé de longs cheveux noirs un peu partout alors que nous avons les cheveux courts. La vaisselle était sale, nous avons dû tout relaver (il n'y pas de lave-vaisselle). Il n'y a pas de papier ménage à disposition et pas d'étendage pour le linge. L'aspirateur est très lourd et absolument pas pratique d'utilisation.
