We liked the location which was reasonably close to the centre of town and close to bus and metro options. It was very spacious.

Our unit (No 4) was directly on the street. It was quite noisy a couple of times when there was a holiday and parties at the end of the street. It was generally fairly soundproof when all doors and windows closed.

This place was spacious. Check in was easy. Great location. The refreshing bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice touch. They were very communicative and even asked if we needed a separate bed made up for my son, before I asked. Apartment has everything you could need.

The location of the property is obscure however our situation was more complex because of my wife's mobility issues. The property is on a traffic restricted, narrow and steeply sloped street with no parking which made unloading luggage and getting my wife around on a wheel chair extremely difficult. Having said that, it was comfortable and well equipped with most of what we needed. The property manager was just down the street and did her utmost to insure our stay was comfortable. She was a huge benefit to us.

This was our first time in Portugal so we were not sure what to expect and had we done more home work, we would have known that most of the streets are on steep hills and parking is a huge problem and particularly in Alfama. The cobble streets are also difficult to navigate and we did know that.
