Olivia Cottage - a Home From Home by the Sea

It was very cool even on a hot day, we as a family loved the layout, my two eldest loved the whole top floor to themselves. The bathtub was huge even for a 5ft 10 person I still had plenty of room. Very cosy, close to a lot of shops and supermarkets- an Asda and Sainsbury’s and a petrol station. There are parks close by and a few minutes drive to a huge sandy beach and plenty of places to explore.

All the cooking supplies i.e pots and pans and cupboards were filthy. I had to wash everything to cook in as still had old food and grease on them. I thought the cleaners would have checked this for the next people to enjoy their time at the cottage. The bed in the main bedroom next to the bathroom was a bit on the smaller side to fit two adults- there’s definitely room for a king size bed to make it more comfortable for a good nights sleep. We noticed that the hot water wasn’t turning on so we had to ring Chris to come over to switch it on. He mentioned that sometimes previous people mess around with it to try and make it work. He was quick to come over to fix it and mentioned if it happens again to call him which was really reassuring.

It was very homely and very welcoming

The stairs but that can’t be helped just we had a 3 year old. But that’s on us

Good location for the beach and the enclosed outside space was a bonus

Could have been a bit cleaner, looked like it hadn’t been hoovered since last guests and bathroom sink needed a wipe over, all beds and towels lovely and fresh though

Very dirty cooker and toaster we never used them ! Fridge dirty. Lots of cobwebs and dust. Bathroom needs an update, bath panel broken. Dust and hair in wardrobes
