a pochi passi da San Marco

I stayed here for 4 nights. The location of this apartment is superb. It is extremely conveniently located close to the Arsenale Station and there are lots of great places to eat nearby, without being too noisy. It's walking distance to pretty much everything, if you want. Or take the nearby vaporetti. The apartment was spotlessly clean with an abundance of supplies provided for the bathroom and kitchen. Nino is a superb host, having greeted me at the Vaporetti Station to show me the location of the apartment and then giving me lots of information and tips for my stay. There are fans in each room (as well as aircon in the bedroom) which means you don't need to open windows (lots of mosquitoes in Venice!). And I was happy that it is on the ground floor so it was convenient for moving my luggage.

I note previous reviews mentioning the decorations in the apartment. I nearly cancelled my reservation because of these, and I'm glad I didn't. Yes, there are a lot of decorative items in the apartment to give it a local flavour, but I didn't find these distracting (see my photos- perhaps some of them have since been removed?). My only negative was that I didn't find the bed that comfy, but I haven't reduced my rating as this is a very personal thing.

Appartement confortable , au calme bien qu'à proximité de l'Arsenale, à 100 m du vaporetto. Nino est un hôte attentionné qui donne plein de bons conseils et des informations précises sur Venise. Logement idéal pour visiter Venise !

Équipements défectueux (arrêt clim sur défaut toutes les 5 min, frigo en panne, écran TV grillé, bouilloire HS, chauffe-eau disons très "capricieux"...) dès le départ et non signalés à l'accueil alors que visiblement états connus. La très grande présence du propriétaire et sa grande réactivité pour rattraper le coup, mais qui s'avéra intrusive et prenante. RdC sans ouvertures utilisables réellement et sans vue. Une déco disons personnelle (chacun ses goûts) mais qui n'apporte pas de valeur ajoutée pour le moins.
