About this cottage rental
Situated on the Pigeon Hill Peninsular in Steuben, with views of Pigeon Hill bay and Bois Buburt island, this lovely cottage has three bedrooms with king, queen, and twin beds, a tiled newer bathroom and new 1/2 bath. Good WIFI access. Food shopping and some restaurants nearby.
Within walking distance to the Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge, and hiking on Pigeon Hill, the cottage is part of a small and peaceful community of summer and year-round homes.
Abundant wildlife, eagles, heron, seal and puffin – wild blueberries in August and September; amazing ocean hiking trails – island to island kayaking – antiquing -- and of course, those famous lobsters and lobster rolls! All rolled into one very nice package of easy access and renowned Maine hospitality.

This was not our first visit to Costal Maine but it was the best so far! Upon arrival we were greeted by a cottage flooded with light and a color scheme and decor that both comforted and uplifted us. It was sooo clean (kudos to Kathy)and welcoming. The full bathroom is beautifully designed with soft absorbent towels and a skylight in the shower! Having the half bath so convenient to the very comfortable king bedroom was a real plus, as was the washer and dryer.The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and a joy to work in.We very much enjoyed the outside deck with its warm sun, cool breezes and marvelous waterviews. We had daily visits and/or sightings of numerous deer, porcupine, a rabbit and many wild turkeys. Kathy, who lives nearby, was very friendly and responsive to any of our questions or requests.All in all this was a very peaceful and much needed respit from our very busy lives. So grateful!

It was an absolutely beautiful home/cottage with great views of the ocean. The gardens were amazing and i even got to see several hummingbird moths as well as a hummingbird. It was an excellent place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee next to the ocean and even a bunny came out to snack. I loved it.
