About this cottage rental
Downeast Oceanfront cottage with 2 bedrooms, a large loft area and a screen porch is comfortable and cozy. Cathedral ceiling in the living/ dining/ kitchen area adds to the feel of the cottage. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters & new stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher. All you will need to cook up a great Downeast Clambake...even a Lobster Pot! Full bathroom with tub/shower and a washer & dryer for laundry needs. We also have high speed internet and WIFI for guests.

We had a great week. The house is very comfortable. The hosts were very attentive. The Surrounding area is beautiful.
Seeing the cove drain out at low tide took a little getting used to but at high tide we saw the seal. Nearby hikes were amazing. We did them at all tides and all weather.

The home was exactly as advertised, and we had a great week exploring the town and the region. First, the house. On the ground floor: There are two bedrooms, a large family room, full bathroom, kitchen, and screened-in porch. There is a large loft area one flight up, where there are plenty of seats and a television. The grounds are private and you are right on the water. You can somewhat see another home, but it's fairly far off and through the trees. The driveway is gravel and easy for any type of car to navigate.Second, the region. The house is just up the street from a couple of terrific hiking paths, and we hiked them multiple times during our stay. They are dog-friendly, which is a plus. The house is also a short drive to the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia. This portion of the park is much less crowded, and the views/trails are great. In addition, you are only about 8-10 minutes away from a large grocery store and a few restaurants in Milbridge. It makes things so much easier when you don't have to drive 40 miles to grab something to eat.Overall, I would recommend this house to anyone looking to get away and explore the region.
