Resort is very clean; hospitality was top notch and reasonably priced. The only downside was of course the seaweed situation.... yes foul odor but you kind of come nose blind to it. The big downside is you have to taxi everywhere which is pricey but there is not a lot of options to eat and very little night life without having the extra fund for taxi fees which is something young folks should consider. However, we just went last week with 4 children ranging from 15-22 years old and it was a fantastic time and we enjoyed Koki Beach and the St Johns Celebration.

We went to St. Thomas the first week of September 2024. I would not recommend Margaritaville. The food at the restaurant is very expensive. If you do not rent a car, you are stuck at the resort and there is nothing close around it. Taking a taxi is very expensive and you are constantly told different prices. It cost the three of us $74 to get to the hotel from the airport. The hotel does not offer an airport shuttle. The pool and restaurant which is close to the beach area smells like sewer because of the seaweed. You do not want to get in the water.. The area is steep and hilly and it is difficult to get a golf cart shuttle to pick you up. The room was nice, but small (we did not have a room with an ocean view) . We did enjoy feeding the stray cats, dogs, and chickens!! The views of the ocean around the cafeteria and beach were beautiful but you had to deal with the smell. . . I usually do not post reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with the hotel and St. Thomas. Hope this review helps with your decision to stay here or not.
