Le Petit Monet - City center near train station

L’appartement était très confortable et bien décoré, on s’y sent bien. Il possède tous les équipements nécessaires. De plus la communication avec l’hôte est très facile !

I have liked everything very much except for 1 thing that I will write in "What didn't you like?". The location is nice, there are a not small supermarket and a nice bakery nearby. The street is lively, but not too busy or noisy, it's the right amount of lively. We rented a car, so it's easy to go to Giverny, but also Vernon itself is so beautiful to explore as well. And the apartment itself is also nice, the design inside is smart and cozy, you get a nice toilet and shower place, a living room area with a sofa, a kitchen area, and a dining area, and a separate room as a bedroom. Quite beautiful and cozy place. Everything in the bathroom functions well. Everything in the kitchen functions well. The bed is comfy as well. It's not those soft ones you usually get in Airbnb style, it's a solid bed that is very comfortable. And the heating system works automatic, everything is modern and quite nice. I highly recommend the facilities in this apartment. And the host is very helpful as well. He replies messages very quickly, and helped us with more dish wash tablets and toilet paper when we asked.

You are asked to do a check-in inventory in order to report any damaged items, within 4 hours of arrival at the property. If no check-in inventory is submitted by the guest, it will be considered that there are no issues with the property upon check-in. And then the landlord will conduct a check-out inventory at the end of the stay during the housekeeping team's intervention. So I understand this rule will make careless people more careful when living in this apartment, but for us, who are very very careful people, it's a very stressful rule. We arrived Vernon after 3 days in Disneyland Paris, without any resting when we arrived, we started to check-in inspection. My husband found so many stains at so many places. (Those things we wouldn't notice if we were not asked to do check-in inspection, but after the inspection, I felt the place was not properly cleaned. It affected the whole experience.) Besides that, we also found some already-broken things, e.g., the water holder for the coffee machine, the bottom of it was completely broken(but usable, water not leaking), but we didn't notice it until we wanted to make coffee the second day, I got nervous and I immediately wrote to the host, he said he is aware of that. But it's not clear that for those existing damaged things, how many is the host aware of already? Maybe if you want guests to do a check-in inspection, you should make sure all the obvious damages are fixed before new guests coming in? My husband and I felt quite confused of should we report everything? All the stains, if we don't report, maybe the host will think we did it? But that costs lots of time and energy to try to report everything. We are super careful people, so we took time to take pictures as evidence even.(The apartment is very beautiful, but now I got so many stains pictures in my mobile.) Maybe it's just an inconvenience for our family, because we get stressful in such things.

Located very close to the train station and easy to walk to restaurants, cathedral, river. The property was easy to access, and pretty clean and comfortable. We loved the colour design and the Monet posters on the wall. Heat is adjustable and washing machine and dishwasher were functioning well.

Need to prepare extra time before check-out to clean up the property as requested by the host. There was no shampoo or body wash for the shower.
