РИМ Grand Hotel

Понравилась относительная близость до Первомайских прудов - места проведения большого музыкального фестиваля. Наличие завтрака в целом, чистота, отзывчивый персонал.

Не понравилась разве что сосиска в завтраке, благо была альтернатива в виде каши. ну и вокруг инфраструктура специфическая, все-таки отель у шоссе

Clean hotel with decent amenities. Good internet, I was able to finish some key work from there which was helpful. Easy to spot on the side of the highway. Reception staff were nice and manager seemed nice over the phone.

Breakfast was poor albeit with a few options to choose from. Location is very poor in my opinion; very far out from central Almaty, but not particularly close to the airport either. Would not be worth it for tourists in my opinion. Also had an issue with the 'airport shuttle' I paid for, where the driver didn't hold up a sign with my name as intended, and we essentially had to play cat and mouse with a language barrier to get me from the airport to the drivers car, waiting around an hour from when I left the plane to get into the drivers' car! Language barriers etc are fair enough, but the driver was also incredibly unsafe on the road even by local standards, nearly driving into a truck's lane at one point. Everything else about the hotel was pretty good, but the airport shuttle experience soured my experience; take a Yandex when you stay here
