Archway Abode - Close to Central London

Lovely & clean spacious property, also very quiet. Instructions from host were very clear and helpful.

The stairs but we knew the apartment was on the 4th floor - so not an issue

Location within 5 minutes walking distance of underground station (direct line to central London and King's Cross/St Pancras railway station). Shops, good restaurants etc also close-by. Although the apartment is indeed on the fourth floor of the building, it is only 35 steps up. Relatively quiet street. Contact with host upfront and during stay perfect, even sharing video's on how to find the keys and how to reach the apartment, making the actual entering procedure very easy.

My son and I are both well over 6 foot 5, which means some things (length of beds, shower/bath size and height of sofa) proved challenging. Hardness of matresses was OK for me, not to my son's liking but that is a matter of personal preference. Floors give a bit of a wobbly/creaky sensation, we were a bit afraid our neighbor downstairs would not be happy with us walking around. However, that may be a completely wrong impression. Some minor maintenance would be advisable, but nothing too serious.

Die Wohnung war gemütlich, man fühlte sich wie daheim, die Betten sehr bequem, alles sauber. Es gibt einen Parkplatz im Hof, was für uns super war, da wir eine Englandrundreise mit dem Auto gemacht haben, die Wohnung ist sehr gut über den äußeren AutobahnRing zu erreichen, ohne dass man durch den City-Verkehr fahren muss, eine Congestion Charge fällt somit nicht an. Die Wohnung liegt in einer ruhigen und sehr gepflegten Gegend, es gibt mehrere Supermärkte (Aldi, Sainsbury etc) und einen Bäcker in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Die nächste U-Bahn-Station Archway (Zone 2/3) ist fußläufig 5 min von der Wohnung entfernt, mit der Northern Line ist man innerhalb von 10-15 min in der Innenstadt, besser geht es kaum! Toll auch das flexible Ein-und Auschecken mit Keysafe. Der Gastgeber erkundigte sich freundlich mehrfach während unseres fast einwöchigen Aufenthaltes nach unserem Befinden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!!
